Keep both fields
The checked Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough source identifies a60g bar with21g protein. Barebells Cookies & Cream lists55g serving mass and20g protein. RXBAR Chocolate Sea Salt at Target lists52g and12g protein.
Do not substitute the units
Multiplying bar count by net bar mass estimates the net food quantity. Multiplying by labeled protein estimates a different nutrient quantity. Calling a60g bar60g protein would erase most of the label information.
Use the result for shopping
These are label-based purchase comparisons, not laboratory content verification or an individual intake plan. The site does not calculate how many bars a person needs by age, weight, diagnosis or exercise.
A useful record to keep
A comparison sheet should have separate columns for bars, food grams per bar and labeled protein grams per bar. A12bar box of60g bars has720g declared net food mass; its21g protein statement gives252g labeled protein across the box. These are two different totals and neither is an independently measured analysis of your delivered carton.
Before you decide
- Keep exact SKU,flavor, count and current label
- Separate net food grams from protein grams
- Refresh checkout and retain unresolved source differences
